Are U.S. Consumers Ready to Go Shopping?

Consider the following: Americans have recovered some of their market-based investments. Residential housing seems to have bottomed out. Even unemployment seems to be tapering off.

Is it logical to assume, then, that Americans will feel a greater sense of freedom to spend? If so, would Real Estate and Retail ETFs be the biggest beneficiaries? Now’s the time to ask yourself these types of questions.
