Gaining Income With Emerging Market Bond ETFs

For all of the talk about risk in emerging market stocks, they’ve actually been less risky than plenty of U.S. securities. In fact, U.S. financial stocks have had 2x the risk of emerging market stocks and those financial stocks have had less reward over the last year.

Yet what about emerging market companies themselves? Don’t they need to borrow money in the debt markets to expand their operations? And why did investors pour more money into emerging market bonds this past October than in any month since records have been kept (1995)?

Income investors may want to investigate emerging market opportunities. Still… let the buyer beware!
