Can Agriculture ETFs Provide Safety In Uncertain Times?

Oil is pushing $110 per barrel. Gold is at a nominal, all-time high near $1450 an ounce. And the iShares Silver Trust (SLV) has rocketed from $17 to $38.5 in 7 short months. For these reasons, and for a variety of concerns regarding Resource-Related ETFs, many believe that a caution flag needs to be raised.

On Wednesday, April 6th, we wonder if “Ag ETFs” may be an inflation-fighting alternative. Indeed, rising inflation around the world could drive PowerShares DB Agriculture (DBA) and Van Eck Global’s Agribusiness ETF (MOO) to loftier heights.
