Lists of inflation-fighting ETFs aren’t new. In fact, many ETF articles with an inflation-fighting focus have appeared at ETF Expert, including:

That said, BusinessInsider.com recently “republished” an earlier article produced by the writers at ETF Database. It’s reasonably comprehensive in nature, with 25 ETFs that may act as a hedge against rising prices.

Some of the exchange-traded funds offered in this “Gang of 25″ have shortcomings. For instance, some trade so infrequently, the low volume works against buying or selling at a reasonable price. Other ETFs haven’t been designed particularly well. Still others may be offered by relative unknowns in the ETF industry, with products that haven’t been around for more than a few months.

That said, many of the ETFs on this list are low-cost, tax-efficient, bonafide inflation-fighters. Moreover, they’ve got the pedigree and the liquidity that you require.
